My name is Magali Mazzei. I am a child of the 1970s, born in Dschibuti/Africa, raised in Greece, France and Germany and I feel at home in many places. Since my childhood I am used to travelling and experiencing new cultures, I am open to the foreign and adaptable to unfamiliar surroundings. A constant change of culture can cause uprooting, but it made me more open minded and richer on the inside, it broadened my horizon and I realized that people are very similar on the inside since they mostly just find different ways to express themselves.
After high school graduation, I firstly completed a training as an industrial management assistant, and later on graduated with diploma as a communications specialist after which I worked in the PR- and marketing area. But at one point I realized that I wasn’t very happy neither in my private life, nor my work life and that I was rather only a shadow of myself.
My turning point was a journey to Sri Lanka in 2007. The panchakarma treatment which was supposed to re-establish my bodily and spiritual balance turned out to be a blessing. I learned aimed and focused breathing techniques, got involved in Ayurvedic diet and I meditated. Although I brought a suitcase full of books with me, I only read one book very enthusiastically: „Die sieben geistigen Gesetze des Yoga“ by Dr. Deepak Chopra.
This was the beginning of my conscious and spiritual journey which gave my life a totally new focus. My wish to deepen my knowledge about Yoga and Ayurveda brought me to the USA. I
completed a training as Vedic Educator with focus on Pranayama (conscious breathing), Ayurveda as well as Yoga and meditation at the Chopra Center for Wellbeing in California.
The contents of training are based on modern knowledge and studies of the two founders of the Chopra Center for holistic (self-) healing, Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. David Simon (Link to Chopra Center/resp. subpage). Thanks to the Prana Flow® founder Shiva Rea I reached down to the very roots of Yoga, to Krishnamacharya, I deepened my knowledge and got trained as a Prana Flow®-Yoga Educator (RYT500).
I am happy now, to pass on this valuable knowledge.
Harmony and re-newel through the dissolution of physical and mental blockades as well as attentiveness with oneself and others, with what one absorbs – especially nutrition and energy which surrounds us and which our bodies emit – are the focus of my workshops and journeys.
I see myself as a companion and I want to create a peaceful place in which the participants can meet themselves at their personal rhythm, where they can open up their true center of power grounding in the heart-awareness, to activate their self-healing powers.
